This week, a full class of Jacobs Douwe Egberts (JDE) professionals came together in Shanghai for the first JDE dedicated Sanitation Essentials Training.

Over the course of the 2.5 day training the participants strengthened their knowledge of Sanitation Programs and Execution in both Dry and Wet Cleaning, of Environmental Monitoring and maybe most important how to motivate coworkers with a passion for food safety.

"The beauty of a dedicated training session, is that not just individuals learn, but the entire food company gains."

Fantastic opportunity for people to deep dive into different sanitation practices. This training is a full on workshop where the participants get to see the real life challenges of allergen cleaning and explore wet and dry cleaning methodologies. By taking part in the cleaning activities, it challenges the participants understanding and motivates them to turn sanitation activities into structured improvement opportunities with a safety mindset”, comments Liam Murphy, Business Integration Quality Manager at Jacobs Douwe Egberts.

The beauty of a dedicated training session, is that not just individuals learn, but the entire food company gains. Colleagues from different plants get to know each other, share best practices, and start to speak the same food safety language. It is a great venue to learn with each-other and from one-another.

JDE, the CFS Training team, cannot wait for your European colleagues in the next dedicated JDE Sanitation Essentials Training in Amsterdam.
