Holger Hölzemann - Senior Food Safety Specialist

Holger joins Commercial Food Sanitation with 30 years of experience in the food industry, encompassing both production and corporate environments. He has worked across various categories, including meat, confectionery, biscuits and pastry, cheese, grocery, gum, and candy, for companies such as Mondelez, OSI, and Nestlé. Additionally, his tenure at Rentokil allowed him to deepen his expertise in pest management.

His responsibilities have included risk management, the implementation of stringent sanitation protocols across multiple facilities, and ensuring alignment with food safety requirements, sustainability targets, and efficiencies. Bringing his experience and passion for knowledge transfer, he helps food processors foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, while collaborating industry-wide to create a safer food supply.

Holger is actively involved in the European Hygienic Design and Engineering Group (EHEDG) and collaborates on supply chain food safety within the European Network for Food Industry Transport (ENFIT).

Holger holds a Bachelor Professional in Food Production Technology and Operation and a Master Professional in Technical Management, and he is bilingual in English and German.
