Edwin brings over 15 years of food industry experience to Commercial Food Sanitation. He previously worked at Kraft Foods where he held various roles. As Global Quality Lead Auditor, he was responsible for auditing quality systems (including sanitation, pathogen environmental monitoring, pest control, and HACCP) to meet a variety of regulations. As Quality Leader, he assessed and implemented world-class programs/systems at external manufacturers and suppliers across the world.
Edwin has worked in multiple sectors of the food industry, including meat/poultry, cheese/dairy, beverage, bakery, gelatin, gum/candy, chocolate, peanut butter, and produce. He holds certificates in International HACCP Alliance, Rapids Methods and Automation in Food Microbiology, Sanitary Design, Low Acid Canned Foods (LACF), and FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food.
Edwin holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of San Francisco and a Master's degree in Science & Food Technology with a specialization in Food Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico. He is bilingual in English and Spanish, and proficient in Portuguese.
