CFS is committed to helping you reach your food safety and hygiene goals. In addition to our in-person, hands-on training, we offer complimentary, digital short courses to help you create a passion for food safety in your organization. Current short courses include:

CFS Short Course 1 – Introduction to Effective Sanitation

In this 45-minute course, our Food Safety Specialists focus on the fundamentals while helping you achieve sanitation excellence. This course covers six topics:

  1. Sanitation – The Cornerstone of Food Safety
  2. Sanitation Preparation
  3. 7 steps of Dry Sanitation
  4. 7 Steps of Wet Sanitation
  5. Pre-op Inspections
  6. Chemistry of Cleaning

CFS Short Course 2 – Success in Sanitation Programs

In this 27-minute course, our Food Safety Specialists share how you can improve your sanitation programs. This course covers three topics:

  3. Maintenance and Sanitation

CFS Short Course 3 – Introduction to Hygienic Conveyor Design

In this 40-minute course, our Food Safety Specialist will take you through the essentials in hygienic conveyor design and how they impact food safety. This course covers five topics:

  3. Conveyor Carryway – Return Carryway
  4. Drive and Idle End

CFS Short Course 4 – Hygienic Design is a Choice Part 1

In this 38 minute training, our Food Safety Specialists will take you through considerations for infrastructure and impacts of utilities as they relate to food-safety. This course covers 3 topics:

  2. An introduction to hygienic design for infrastructure
  3. Utilities from a food safety perspective

CFS Short Course 5 – Hygienic Design is a Choice Part 2

In this 38 minute training, you will learn to recognize the importance of pathogen control via hygienic zoning and become familiar with equipment design principles. This course covers three topics:

  2. Equipment Design Principles
  3. Hygienic Design Choice – Principles

CFS/Intralox Short Course – Top 5 Causes of Conveyor Related Foreign Material Risk

This 16 minute training was developed in partnership with Intralox Application Engineering experts. In this training, you will learn how to identify warning signs for conveyor related foreign material and best practices on how to prevent it. This course covers seven topics:
