Andres Rodriguez - Food Safety Specialist

Andres joins Commercial Food Sanitation with over nine years of experience in the food industry. His career started at Campden BRI (Chipping Campden, UK) where he worked in the Microbiology Department (Heat Resistance group) supporting the food industry with troubleshooting, confidential customer work, research, and training courses in the area of food safety/microbiology. He then joined the Mondelez Internal Food Safety team where he supported the business across different categories (confectionary, coffee, and biscuits) by providing food safety support to R&D, internal and external plants, and suppliers across Europe.

Andres has extensive experience working on cross-functional and multicultural teams. At Commercial Food Sanitation, Andres continues his passion for supporting and training the industry on their food safety and sanitation programs. He is the Lead for the Meat, Poultry, and Seafood (MPS) segments in the EMEA region. 

Andres holds a Veterinary degree (University of Murcia, Spain) and both a Master's degree (University of Tennessee, USA) and a PhD (University of Massachusetts, USA) in Food Microbiology.
