AFFI Food Safety Leadership Conference 2019
February 25, 2019 - February 27, 2019
American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) offers at its 2019 Food Safety Leadership Conference an inaugural, informative Listeria monocytogenes (Lm) – specific educational programming.
The program includes an overview of the lessons learned and global regulatory implications from high-profile Lm outbreaks in Europe and South Africa. At this year’s inaugural event newly developed frozen food safety protocols will be unveiled. These protocols are the result of the expertise and collaboration of the scientific professionals within AFFI’s Food Safety Working Group, who we commend for their hard work and dedication on this important issue.
Rick Katz, Food Safety Specialist at Commercial Food Sanitation will lead workshop 1b “Controlling Listeria Risks Through Hygienic Design and Sanitation Programs” which takes place 9am-12:30pm on Monday February 25th.
Sanitation and Hygienic Design are core components of a facility’s Listeria Control Program. Rick will work with attendees to use tools to assess equipment design and develop strategies to control risk through integrated design assessment, remediation, and sanitation programs.
Please note, separate registration is required to attend this workshop.
Through scientific research, education, and the development of effective best practices, AFFI is dedicated to advancing food safety by providing frozen food manufacturers and industry partners with a one-stop food safety resource.
